For Today (April 13, 2009)

Outside my window....

It's sunny right now, but bad weather is expected later tonight.

I am thinking...

about people who have lost everything in the tornado in our neighborhood.

I am thankful...

that no one was killed and very few
were injured, which is a miracle of God.

From the learning rooms....

Abby, Thomas and Carrie have only 2 more school days left. Anna has to finish algebra and then she's through and Emily will continue on to finish chemistry and American history.

I am
wearing....

a light orange oxford shirt, blue jeans, and orange tennis shoes.

I am creating...

I have a whole list of things to create while we're
out of school, but for now all the sewing projects are residing in my side of the armoir so every time I open the door I see it all and feel guilty that I haven't had time to finish any of it. Oh, well.

I am going...

to get a hair cut, to take Anna back for he
r last eye re-check, to have Emily's eye's checked, and probably back to the church tomorrow to work a little bit in the kitchen, since we'll still be feeding people.

I am reading....

I just got this great book called A Life That Says Welcome by Karen Ehman, but I haven't had time to start reading it yet. I can hardly wait because it looks absolutely SUPER!

I am hearing...

after-work traffic on our road, Anna singing a Christian song.

One o
f my favorite things....

when Abby calls me "Mommy".

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...
Some sweet anonymous church member left these for us last Thursday night and we've just had a chance to make a photo of them.

The book you are reading sounds interesting. :0)

Your compassion for those who lost everything in your neighbourhood is warming. I hope there are some relief efforts in place.

Thanks for letting me visit your Daybook & blog today. :0)
