For Today (June 29, 2009)

Outside my window.....
it's sunny and cool.

I am thinking....
about 4 of my girls who are gone today.

I am thankful for...
my little (and big) helpers at home.

From the learning rooms...
our last week to prepare for school, which will begin next week.

From the kitchen...
enchiladas today with plenty of cheese. Thinking about the 4th and what I can cook to welcome 3 of the girls home for the weekend from music camp.

I am creating....
some fun for Carrie, Thomas and Abby this week while the older girls are gone.

I am going....
to mostly stay home this week.

I am reading....
Heart and Mind by Ruth Beechick, which I just bought at the homeschool convention.

I am hearing...
nothing. Carrie is still asleep, Thomas and Abby are outside, David is reading.

One of my favorite things....
old books!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

I'm really missing my girls this week.

I can understand missing your daughters; mine comes home tomorrow from college! Can't wait to have her home again! Yours look like 6 little treasures. Isn't motherhood wonderful?

Have a blessed week.

Okay, so I don't know you, but you use FIAR and your blog is named Seeking Simplicity so I like you already. I stopped by via the daybook links. What a beautiful family you have. Can't wait until I have time to come back and read more of your blog. I'm all about seeking simplicity even if I'm not always sure I find it!

Nine children, Wow! Your beautiful girls look so happy. The enchiladas sound so good right now. Wish I could help you eat them! I also, love old books--especially Bibles. I am in heaven when I find one. Have a wonderful week.

That is such a nice picture. They are all so pretty. I saw them over 2 years ago and Carrie and Anna are sure getting older (I mean in a good way). I hope to see everyone soon which might happen sooner than later. Where's Thomas? He should of peaked his head between Rachel and Emily.

Julie,
I hope the visit is sooner than later....

Thomas: This was a sister pic for their blog, so he wasn't invited this time.

Hope you are feeling well today! Love you!
