A husband who helps me make decisions and is the head of our home.
From the learning rooms....
Rachel and I are still working on The Door in the Wall unit study. She has her part pretty much finished and I'm going through The Story of the World activity book, looking for some book and craft ideas to put into it. We're excited! I would like to finish up my grades for the year this week, too.
From the kitchen....
I'm in charge of supper for the Men's Meeting tomorrow night at church and I need to start cooking today. Here's the menu: Jambalaya, slaw, buttermilk rolls, angel food cake, and homemade peach ice cream. How does that sound?
I am going....
to stay home a lot this week. Yea!

The Egg and I by Betty MacDonald, the most hilarious book I've ever read.
I am hearing....
Thomas kissing Abby (he's our resident lover-boy), Katie ironing her clothes. David is reading on the front porch and everyone else is still asleep.
Around the house....
I want to clean the oven and take inventory of the deep freezer this week. I have two more batches of strawberry freezer jam to make today. And I need to check my housecleaning list and see if there's anything else on it, but I think I'm almost finished.

A few plans for the rest of the week...
Today is cooking and perhaps lunch out with Katie. Tomorrow is my very busy day: dental appointments for 4 kids in one direction, haircuts for Anna and me in the opposite direction, plus working on the rest of supper to deliver to the church by 6:30. And perhaps I could fit in going to see a friend's new baby that's being born today???
