During Arts Week, Thomas made bannocks to go with his The Door in the Wall unit study. He and Abby had a picnic in the yard with the bannocks, bacon, and cheese.

The natives up here make bannock out of wheat flour. They like to fry it and eat it with jam. I guess just about anything is better when it's fried, eh?
